Hi everyone,
Wow, I don't even remember when I last posted, seems like forever! My apologies, life happens and you forget about your blog for months at a time. I guess the most significant event that occurred was that I had a little accident while at a club and as a result I injured my ankle. Long story short I had a cast on my ankle for 2 weeks. I learned a great deal about myself during this time, I learned to never take your health for granted and to appreciate the little things in life such as walking to the corner store or walking up a flight of stairs unassisted. The experience definitely humbled me and gave me a better appreciation of life in general. Life is short and shouldn't be wasted. Since getting my cast off I have been attending physiotherapy to strengthen my foot and to regain my flexibility. I am probably 90% recovered which is good because I do intend to fully enjoy the great summer weather Toronto has to offer. Besides my ankle injury nothing huge to report; I will try to check in more frequently but I say that everytime, lol. I leave you with a picture of me the day before getting my cast off! Please avoid breaking a bone or tearing a muscle because it really isn't fun being in a cast.

Long Overdue!
Wow, I can't believe it is already March, really, where has all the time gone??? My last post was shortly after New years, I really have to do a better job of posting new entries. Just to give you a quick and dirty summary of activities since my last post I have just completed my photography course this past Saturday! =)
I am even more excited about taking pictures now and I hope to continue my love and interest in photography as it is a great way for me to express some of my creative energies. I don't think I will be taking the 2nd part of the course as I feel I am capable now of figuring a lot of things out on my own.
I am pretty excited now because I am actually going to Europe for the first time this June!!! I only have 2 weeks off so it will be a short trip unfortunately but it's okay, I will just have to save some stuff for next time. I am planning on visiting London, Paris and Amsterdam. I feel there still isn't enough time to do 3 cities in 2 weeks but you can never really have enough time to see an entire city right?
I am recovering from a cold that has lasted more than a week, I am so frustrated as it has really thrown my gym routine out the window....not only that, but I sound terrible over the phone and everyone can hear it!
I am hoping to learn how to cook properly, that is my next big goal for me. I know it probably sounds sad, but I can't really cook, lol, so that is why this is at the top of my priority list. It makes a lot of sense since I like eating and I like to try all kinds of food that I learn how to cook stuff that I like to eat.
I hope the next time I blog I will have made some progress, I will try to post a picture of my first creation.
Below is a picture I took of Allan Garden Conservatory, I have used a HDR program to process it. Enjoy!

Happy New Year!
It is a new year and I am excited to build on the success and momentum from 2010! I am currently taking my first photography class, so I am quite excited to be taking photography more seriously! I am also trying to get my ass back into shape so I have been pretty good with my gym routine thus far. I do hope to make a trip to Europe this year, I really want to go, hopefully I am able to book some vacation this summer. I think one of things I want to continue from 2010 is to continue to be more active and involved in what Toronto has to offer. I am curious and I want to continue to explore all the cool things Toronto has to offer and perhaps meet a few new people along the way. I just want to share a cool picture I took while waiting for my bus at Finch Station, I am continuing to hone my craft, hope you enjoy the journey!

Holiday Season!
Wow, it has been some time since I last posted.....probably a combination of being quite busy with the holidays and being lazy, lol! I have done quite a few things since last time, first of all I went to the Art Gallery of Ontario, Dundas Square, Saint Lawrence Market and Kensington Market twice!!
Another reason why I have been checking out more activities is because I recently picked up a new DSLR camera! I finally decided to take the plunge so I can start to take photography more seriously! I got a Nikon D90 which has been amazing so far! I will also be starting photography lessons in January so I can learn the proper techniques of photography. =)
I am quite excited to be taking up this new hobby, but a bit overwhelmed at the same time because there is so much to learn! I am slowly learning photoshop too because I want to be able to edit my photos to make them postcard perfect.
I will try to keep this post short, I will post a few pictures to let you see what I have been up to over the last few weeks.

Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery District
This weekend I was quite fortunate enough to be quite busy with friends and family doing a lot of catch up. It is definitely the holiday season and company parties, dinner with friends and family gatherings are in abundance. I was cordially invited to a dinner with a whole bunch of my elementary school friends! I was very excited and a little nervous to see a lot of them because I haven't seen a lot of them in person for over 10 years! I didn't know what to expect as a lot of things can change over 10 years and I was afraid that what I remembered of them would be quite different. People can change a lot in 10 years and I was sort of hoping they didn't. Fortunately most of them haven't really changed much, just more mature but same sense of humour. I was very happy to reconnect with them and I hope to make a more concerted effort to stay in touch with them from now on. I would like to thank Steph for inviting me to her house and provided such a great meal and giving me the chance to reconnect with my old elementary school friends!
My friend also celebrated her birthday this weekend as well so I just want to wish my friend Natasha a very happy birthday and I was really happy to catch up with her and see her again. Even though I had to wait in the frigid cold to get into the club to see her, I was happy I did. At least I was able to amuse myself by talking with a few "slightly" intoxicated girls who kept on complaining about how cold it was! All I can say was waiting in that line wasn't without its excitement and drama. =)
I also had an opportunity to go and check out the Toronto Christmas Market at the Distillery District. Because it was quite cold we didn't stay too long. I was quite amazed at how different everything looked at night! I was pleasantly surprised to see how much more vibrant and lively the distillery district can be at night. They had a lot of booths with various crafts, snacks and art for sale. They also had a beer garden, hot beverage stands and of course lights adorning many of the buildings. I wish I had more time to look around, but it was getting late and the cold wasn't helping....I still want to do the segway tour of the distillery district sometime, it might have to wait until next spring as we had some snow today and there is snow in the forecast for the upcoming week. I really do hope we have a white Christmas this year! =)
